John Carpenter

John Carpenter is a London based interior designer specialising in residential design. We source and design furnishings and bespoke joinery, and build a palette of finishes to enhance your interiors. We develop plans, often re-planning your space to best suit the way you use your home. Our design ethos is to maximise the potential of your home. We commission art and source antiques, and place your cherished pieces with thought and care. We ‘value engineer’ your project ensuring your budget is always carefully observed. We have recently completed several central London projects including two townhouses, a penthouse, two apartments, a roof terrace, and a villa near Cork in Ireland. John Carpenter Design was established in 2009. Having worked as a senior interior designer for 20 years for several of the UK’s top interior designers, John has designed and project managed a wide variety of UK and international projects. These include an apartment in Knightsbridge, two villas in the south of France, townhouses in Notting Hill, Mayfair, Greenwich and a beach house in the Hamptons. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, John previously worked as a set designer for film and television.
