A place to welcome, to host and to retreat, the feeling of home is central to everything we do: let us help you to write the next chapter of your home’s story… Established by Nicola Sanders in 2016 – following a degree in History of Art & Architecture, a decade in London working for House & Garden, World of Interiors, Condé Nast Traveller and Elle Decoration magazines, and further studies at KLC School of Design and Chelsea College of Arts – Studio Sanders is an interior design studio in the heart of Cambridge, specialising in warm, colourful and original schemes for projects in town and country. “I have an instinctive understanding of what makes a room work but, most importantly, I think that our homes should enable us to enjoy the things that interest us – perhaps books, music, furniture, art or textiles – and offer a backdrop that brings us joy every day. Comfort and atmosphere are key; when rooms feel settled, not too perfect, they become the essence of a really liveable home. It’s about how you feel when you are in a space; when your home is considered, filled with things you love and functions brilliantly, that sense of beauty and comfort comes easily.” In this spirit, every project Studio Sanders undertakes involves a balance of both old and new, combining existing possessions with art, antiques and new pieces, then layering with colour, print and texture. From these guiding principles, designs evolve into joyful, inviting places of timelessness and warmth, filled with detail and yet infinitely practical.
