We are nearing the end of our building project, to convert our house for wheelchair access and instal a through lift from our sitting room to bedroom.

In January I was given the diagnosis of a progressive neurological disease and I knew that I had to reconfigure my house urgently. Rupert carefully considered my projected needs, researched the exact requirements for my lift and speedily produced drawings. He negotiated with lift companies to ensure I bought the most suitable lift for my wheelchair and that it was installed as soon as possible. Doorways were widened , a bedroom converted to an ensuite bathroom and a utility room changed to a disabled toilet.

It was important to me that the conversion was sympathetic to my house, with it’s many original features. The final result has enhanced the house and made it much more beautiful. Rupert made use of the original features , designing practical usable spaces. He project managed the work, representing me in negotiations with the builders and ,understanding the urgency, ensured that they kept to a very strict time line.

Charlotte and Rupert kept weekly eye on the site and kept us informed on progress. They involved us in the design ,showing us options at each stage and tactfully guided us through out.

They tolerated a certain amount of dithering ,when i was not sure what I wanted and were kind and flexible when I changed my mind.

I am very happy with my new home , the whole process has made the last 6 months more bearable for me and allowed me to focus on my future with some optimism , this is in no small part due to the graciousness and professionalism of Rupert and Charlotte.

It has been an absolute joy to work with the Team. They completely embraced the brief of ‘comfortable without looking too styled’ and their attention to getting even the smallest detail right was impressive. After ten years, we have moved the restaurant premises from an old Victorian pub to a busy, trendy high street and knew we needed a total look overhaul. We were nervous, and apart from wanting a spectacular makeover, we weren’t sure what we were after. Luckily, you introduced us to Rachel who was available at short notice, and within weeks she visited us onsite. She listened carefully and soon presented us with bold makeover plans within our budget.

Throughout the challenging and stressful process, Rachel was the beacon of professional calm and assurance. The project was divided into three stages, and we almost managed to keep to the schedule, barring some material shortages as the economy was coming out of Covid-19 malaise. I have to admit we were fussy and difficult at times, and yet Rachel remained poised, cooperative, flexible and extra creative to meet our requests. And once the project was completed, we were all blown away by the stunning result.

As I’m writing this, I’m surrounded by the elegant and welcoming interior filled with light and warmth, along with custom-designed details. One of the biggest issues we faced was the low ceiling and lack of light and yet, after the transformation, the issue is non-existent and the last on everyone’s mind. Instead, there’s a ‘wow’ factor as you walk into our beautiful dining room filled with opulent Tom Dixon pendants, luxurious surfaces, textured materials and opulent fabrics. I guess the best proof of how talented Rachel is are probably the before-and-after photographs of our interior.

Rachel also took care of planning issues, including completing all the drawings and submitting them to the relevant authorities; she liaised with our architect and knowledgeably took care of the details surrounding the planning of the new facade and signage. All this while taking into account the fact that our restaurant is in London’s conservation area.

We would use her again and recommend her without any reservations. Thank you – we couldn’t be happier with our restaurant’s remarkable new look!

The interior designer you introduced to us is an absolute gem. We bought a Georgian Villa that needed updating internally and I had a picture in my head of how I wanted it to look. From the first zoom meeting with him it was clear that he was able to listen to my ideas and then come up with ideas to compliment and improve on mine! Working with him is delightfully easy; he has the gift of not being pushy and is super responsive. We worked together on planning every room before he put together the design concept, once agreed, we started work. We signed him to do the design and manage the project alongside the team of builders and decorators already in place and he worked brilliantly with all of them. Despite the usual setbacks during a project he kept to deadlines and budgets and agreed everything with us as it progressed. We moved into the finished house in December and I couldn’t be happier, it looks and feels exactly as I imagined – but better!

Hi Nathalie Thanks for your message, and – all that time ago – for the introduction.

I think this was a very good choice for our project. During its progress, I came to realise – never really having thought about the issue – how different it is for a designer to work with real, live continuing occupants, rather than for the imagined/aspirational occupants who must tend to figure in a brief from a developer. She worked round us very well, I thought! Must have been quite irritating for her at times. She was, however, a beacon of fun and good humour throughout.

One of the most important things she did was introduce us to excellent (if not inexpensive) main contractors who were key to getting to an overall result with which we are very pleased. The builder was the third party in our relationship, and it was your designer who did a skilful job of keeping the ménage à trois together. And with her help, we considered many small but important considerations which would probably have eluded us if we had worked on our own. She has also proved a good source of introductions to specialist decorators and so on, and a great help with ongoing relations with them.

In some ways, as we actually chose most of the new furniture ourselves, her input might, to a third party, in some respects have seemed somewhat tangential in this respect, but that was ultimately the best route to ending up with ‘our’ home, rather than some sort of show home. But she was always there as a (sound) sounding board and with suggestions for places to look.

Overall, the most important aspect of her work was that it was evident that she really does care about getting a result with which the client is ultimately happy. As we are very happy, she must have done a good job.

I would definitely recommend Sophie and am so glad we’ve had her helping us. We’ve ended up with something much more creative and imaginative than had it been left to me. From the beginning, she understood what I was looking for and what my tastes and ideas were and she was able to interpret them very successfully. I have spent hours during lockdown in my kitchen, and I’m grateful every day that we had Sophie to help us create a really interesting yet functional kitchen. Our basement is also nearly finished – we took delivery of the furniture last week – and again, her choices were much more interesting and bold than what I would have gone for, yet I really love the finished result. We are in the process of painting the sitting room upstairs and again, when that’s finished, I’m sure I’ll love it. As well as being creative, she is also practical and made suggestions for our kitchen which have really improved it – for example not having the step down into the kitchen from the living room which has given us much more work top space and cupboards than our initial plans. She also adjusted budgets significantly when I gave her feedback on the first iteration being too expensive.

Obviously it took time for us to get to know each other and understand the style I wanted to achieve. Melanie was very patient with me during this time and careful to ensure she understood exactly what I liked and disliked in terms of style, quality and product by patiently sourcing items and ideas to give me options until it was clear what I was after. This was the time consuming bit , but once we both “ got it” it was then in the sourcing of the products . Melanie put it all together always being sensitive to my budget. I think she went beyond her call of duty which I absolutely appreciated. You recommended this designer when I wanted to transform a small annex seating area into an office space looking out onto my garden. The project with Nicola and Chris has gone really really well. We had a vision for the project but also wanted their guidance on how best to bring it to life.

This was a slightly trickier project than most because the space was partly furnished. Once we had a visual in place, Nicola arranged several showroom visits to help us select furniture and sometimes a second look and feel was needed for us to say yes! Nicola and Chris were able to work around the existing furniture; layering in some bright soft furnishings including upholstered headboards, sheer curtains and accessories to vastly improve the overall look.

The best thing about the project has been the team work between us and them and the fact that they have provided a design and build solution which really took the pressure off. They have been flexible in helping us make this dream a reality and haven’t been afraid to make their opinions known. We had a fantastic balance of dream versus what works in reality and Nicola and Chris were always there to steer us in the right direction. On the few occasions when we weren’t too keen on what they were offering, they were happy to offer us different solutions to consider. We have really enjoyed working with Paul on our apartment interior design project, and are delighted with the outcome. With Sarah’s guidance, we made all of the choices relating to fixtures, location of electrical fittings etc. well in advance of when the builders needed to know, which made the process relatively stress free.

The residents management committee for Victoria Wharf were looking to refurbish the common parts of our building which has 68 flats. We wanted to give it an internal ‘face lift’ in a contemporary and impactful style. As well as the reception area, the lifts, corridors, and external court yard and a concierge’s room needed looking at. We were finding it hard to conceptualise and come up with ideas ourselves so decided to look for an interior designer to help.

Being new to the interior design world and with so many interior designers out there, we approached InteriorDesigners.net, who match clients with the right interior designer for their project. The design studio you recommended was the first company that was engaged for this project, even before the builders. Working with them was an absolute pleasure, it is a relatively small studio so it’s extremely easy to get in touch with the decision makers. The drawings, lighting plans and even the planning permission documents were all supplied on time. The best thing about working with this studio was their project management skills which is very difficult to find in designers. Every Thursday for about 8 months the principal designer and the senior designer of the studio were on site to inspect the progress. We are looking forward to doing another exciting project with them.

Susan sourced all of the furnishing and decor of my new-build apartment. I had sold all my furniture so everything was to be new.
Susan has very high professional standards and, very important, expertise and experience. She was very keen to ensure that the overall effect was exactly what I wanted that is modern yet classical and elegant. She never missed a deadline and was very adaptable when there were delays, obstacles and changes from the building contractors. With Susan I always had someone on my side.
She was very supportive as she oversaw the actual decoration and furnishing of the apartment. She sourced lovely pieces which I would never have found by myself. Nothing was too much trouble and she spent hours getting colours, fabrics and measurements right. She supervised the delivery and installation of all furnishings and she had no hesitation in sending back furniture, as it arrived, which was not quite right, taking photographs and contacting suppliers and workmen.

I was particularly delighted with the bespoke media unit she had designed and made.

She has a lovely personality and was a delight to work with taking the strain and sorting problems as they arose.

This project being our first home renovation, could have been an extremely stressful experience, however Ros and her team made the process really fun and seamless for us. I had just moved into a flat in Covent Garden and wanted a complete redesign. I met with 5-6 interior designers – 2 of which were recommended by Interior Designers. Interior Designers spent time with me on a Saturday morning to understand my requirements before making the recommendations.

I found the two recommendations were far better than the rest – in terms of listening to my requirements, putting together a detailed proposal and follow-up. My number 1 and 2 choices were both supplied by Interior Designers. A fabulous personalised service.

I must say we were both a little unsure about needing an interior designer.  I just knew I needed some help and my wife needed convincing that this was a good way to go.

However, we have both been delighted by the contribution your designers have made to our projects.  There are 5 things that really stand out.

Neither of us would have, in a million years, chosen the wall colour that was proposed.  We both now love it.

We were stuck in our thinking, but they changed the focus of the lounge from inwards to outwards facing, opening up views of the garden.

Overall, we have a lounge that has been completely transformed.  Not only is it striking and attracts admiration from everyone that sees it, but we both feel completely at home in it.
We also feel we have built a special relationship with them and intend that to continue into the future as we embark on further projects to remodel our house.

We have owned property in West London for 15 years.
