Everyone who lives in Hampstead loves the Heath. Its 790 acres of green space are enjoyed by runners, dog walkers and picnickers, while outdoor swimmers head to its Ponds for an invigorating dip. Houses that overlook the Heath fetch premium prices, as do nearby roads – Bishop’s Avenue with its vast modern homes being the most obvious example. The area has also seen a surge in new-build and conversion schemes, which are particularly attractive to professionals with children, drawn by the Heath, the excellent schools and its upmarket shops and restaurants.
