From Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and John Polidori's Vampire, Le Retour des Ténèbres presents two hundred years of artistic dread. The design of the exhibition used horror movie style tricks to emphasise the architecture of horror in a subtle way: Long corridors, exaggerated perspectives, sudden changes of mood and controlled views all combined cleverly to provide the perfect backdrop to this content rich exhibition.
