The brief was to entirely redesign and remodel this split level garden apartment in leafy Belsize Park, which had been left in disrepair after being unoccupied for almost a decade.
By extending to the side and rear and incorporating the old garage, the already huge footprint was increased by over 46m², giving us masses of interior space to play with.
We reconfigured the entire raised ground floor to accommodate three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, positioning the modern staircase to create a large, square landing.
We designed a wide, open plan kitchen/living room of over 75m². This incredible space has a bright living area with a 2.5 x 2.5m Oriel window overlooking the garden, a library corner and plenty of room for dining.
Another highlight is the bespoke designed kitchen complete with a 4m wide, pill shaped island with offset V fluted oak doors and solid, hand-poured exposed aggregate worktops.
